Parents’ Counseling
This is a tool for supporting family relationships and the demands of the parental role.
It is aimed at parents of children of all ages, across all family structures and types.
Parents’ Counseling is a short-term and highly effective collaboration that can strengthen family relationships.
Parents’ Counseling is needed when:
- The child is receiving therapeutic interventions such as Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Special Educational Programs, so that the parent can comprehend and support the child’s efforts and progress.
- The child/adolescent exhibits behavioral problems that the parents feel unable to manage.
- The child/adolescent shows signs of anxiety, sadness, or alienation, and parents need guidance on how to support them.
- Structural changes occur within the family, such as the birth of another child, divorce, or managing a family loss.
- The child transitions into adolescence.
- Parents seek to better understand their child’s emotional needs.
